While surfing the internet, we face a lot of occasions facing multiple obstacles. At first, (before the internet) computers were only used for fulfilling tasks, but now it is used for a lot of other reasons. But the same extreme use of computer has opened gates to the prying eyes who without your consent fulfil different tasks that harm you one way or the other.

Don’t click unknown links:
One out three users have claimed to have lost their data just because of clicking on links that aren’t trustable. This happens when the users find some links (which they do not searched for but ultimately interests them) and they end up clicking on them. Once you click on them, you find or experience your system getting slower than the usual and ultimately losing its true potential. Viruses and malwares spreads all over your system resulting in your password or accounts being hacked. Hence, no matter what, you should always and only click on links that you trust or else you may experience a change in your regular work environment (decrease in productivity).
Shopping experience – online:
They say online retail market is the future and would soon replace the concept of the physical market. We’re fine in believing that online market would expand to greater heights but at the moment, it is only in the developing stage. Know why? It’s all due to the threats revolving around this industry. Only in a few seconds, your entire transaction could be wiped away if you do not take the precautionary steps. To start with, know the basics. For example, any site if not having the HTTPS logo around it isn’t safe. Make it a habit of not using websites that aren’t safe to make sure you do not have any regrets.
Having a firewall wouldn’t hurt:
A barrier that prevents the outside from reaching the inside (you) is no doubt a needed option. This option in most cases already exist in many systems (built-in) but if it isn’t available you can manually install it. It’s not like you could count on it with your whole heart’s content, but it would certainly do its best from any reaching out to your data. A smart geek, however, could jump over this wall in a few seconds while a newbie hacker could take a day and have any idea what he or she is dealing with. Hence luck plays a role as well. Encryption software and protection tools however are rather more feasible option as compared to other means of security.
Use some common sense:
Getting mails where you are deemed to earn a lot of inheritance overnight is nothing but a false promise. But even in 2018, we find users blindly following and responding such mails by turning in their information, account number, personal identification etc. with any random person as you have no idea who’s sitting on the opposite side. You can encrypt your emails just to be on the safer side.
Be creative with your passwords:
By creating we don’t mean to use a thumb impression or facialrecognition, but what we mean is to set your password in a way that cannot guessed anytime sooner. For example, picking the very first alphabet of the song you love and making it your password. For example, ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ can be written as WDKYMYS. Now who on earth could possibly guess this initial? I guess only those who know what music type you prefer.
In a nutshell:
The users on many occasions have complained how life is unfair to them, how they lost their data overnight, how someone else became the owner of their hard work is too common nowadays. In fact, most of the people have stopped working as hard as they used to due to this threat. But don’t sweat, just don’t. Take some steps (as mentioned above) and be the most productive.
